Photo/document/family tree DVD on its way

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

The DVD index is nearly complete now. The task isĀ  now to separate out all the content that we cannot publish from all that which is public and then create our public DVD. It should be in production soon. In total we have about 3000 items we have gathered in the last 18 months – quite a haul! Many thanks to all who have contributed from around the world, especially the Minster Lovell Historical Society, who have donated everything they own to be scanned.

War dead

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

Peter Gough supplied me with some extra information on the war dead who were not on our memorial and I gave a speech at the village Remembrance service on 14th November. The parish council is now reviewing the people mentioned – all from the First World War – to see if they might be added to our memorial.
